Ignoring a Citation

If you fail to make a plea, a warrant will be issued for your arrest for each charge listed on the citation.  A charge of “Violate Promise to Appear” may also be added to each charge listed on the citation, along with additional fines, fees, and court costs.

If you cannot afford to pay for your citation, contact the Court Clerk to request an alternative means of taking care of it. Payment plans and community service are available for persons who qualify for them. You will be required to appear before the Judge to be granted community service. Please be prepared to bring copies of your paycheck stubs and monthly bills to support your request.
